Editorial policy
This page tells you how we make our pages. If a page does not follow this policy, tell us and we will fix it.
Where our data comes from
- Our research process reads official vendor pages only. These are pricing pages, plan pages and product documentation.
- We do not use leaked prices, private quotes or numbers from other review sites.
- If a vendor page is not clear, we write a note next to the number. If we cannot confirm a number, we do not publish it.
Dates on every number
- Every price, limit and other number on a comparison page shows two things next to it: a link to its source and the date we checked it.
- Our build process stops a page from being made if a number has no source or no date.
- Each page shows a "last updated" date at the top.
- Prices and limits change. Always confirm the current terms on the vendor's own page before you buy.
How we check and correct errors
- We re-check published numbers against the official vendor pages. Our build hides a number when its check date is too old.
- When a price or limit changes, we update the page. We also add the change to a what changed page with the old value, the new value, the date and the source.
- If you find an error, write to us at hello@limitfacts.com. Tell us the page and the number. We check the official source and correct the page if we are wrong. We do not delete the record of a correction.
Affiliate links and money
- LimitFacts has not joined any affiliate program yet. This site has no affiliate links today.
- Later, some links may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission.
- Each affiliate link will have a disclosure next to it. Every page has a disclosure at the top.
- Commissions will never change our data or the order of products. Products are listed in alphabetical order.
- No vendor can pay to change a number or a position. We do not sell sponsored pages or paid placements.
- Read the full affiliate disclosure.
What we do not do
- We do not run hands-on product tests.
- We do not publish ratings or reviews.
- We do not give products stars, scores or ratings.
- We do not write about personal experience that we did not have.
- We do not use fake people or fake author names. AI software helps draft pages, and every page is checked against these rules before it is published.
How pages are made
- AI software helps us collect data and draft pages from the dataset. LimitFacts is run by one person.
- Every page goes through a compliance check before it is published. The check looks for missing sources, missing dates, missing disclosures and claims we cannot support.
Same content for people and AI crawlers
- People, search engines and AI crawlers get the same pages and the same content.
- We do not show different content to different visitors or user agents.
- Search and AI crawlers may read the site. Our robots.txt asks crawlers not to request /go/ paths. We will use /go/ only for affiliate links, and there are none today.
