Privacy and cookies

LimitFacts is a static website. This page tells you what data we collect when you visit, which cookies can appear, and what happens when you follow an affiliate link.

Summary

What we collect

We do not collect your name, your email address or other personal data when you read this site. The site has no sign-up forms, no comments and no user accounts.

We run no analytics. The pages contain no analytics, tracking or advertising code. Cloudflare Web Analytics is off.

Our host: Cloudflare

Cloudflare hosts this site. To send a page to you, Cloudflare processes your request under its own privacy policy. Read the Cloudflare privacy policy.

For limitfacts.com, we keep no request logs, and we do not export request logs. In the Cloudflare dashboard we see only totals, for example the number of requests by page path, country and status code. We do not see the IP address or the browser details of a single request. If we start to use /go/ links, a small program on Cloudflare will answer requests to /go/ addresses. It uses only the /go/ address itself. It does not store your IP address, your browser details or the page you came from, and it keeps no logs.

Our API and MCP server keep request logs. Read their privacy note: https://limitfacts.dev/privacy/

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own.

Cloudflare Bot Fight Mode is off, so Cloudflare does not set the bot management cookie on this site.

If Cloudflare shows you a security challenge, for example a check that you are a person, Cloudflare can set a cookie named cf_clearance after you pass the check. Cloudflare sets this cookie, not us. It is for security only. The Cloudflare privacy policy applies to it.

No affiliate links are live on this site yet.

Later, some links on this site may be affiliate links. Read the affiliate disclosure.

We may send affiliate links through a redirect on our own site, for example limitfacts.com/go/vendor-name/. Each /go/ link names the vendor, and a disclosure comes before it. The redirect works the same way for every visitor, person or bot. Each /go/ address always goes to the link that the affiliate program gave us. These links are marked rel="sponsored nofollow". We ask search engines not to crawl /go/ addresses.

We may count clicks on /go/ links as totals per day, for each page and link. To count a click, we add one to the total for that /go/ address. We do not store your IP address, your browser details, the page you came from, or the time of your click. We set no cookie and store nothing in your browser for this. We cannot connect a total to you. We use the totals only to see which links readers use. We do not sell them.

A /go/ link may carry a fixed code for the page and link, called a sub-ID, for example site-vendor-pricing. The code is the same for every reader and contains no personal data. The affiliate program may report clicks and sales to us by this code.

After the redirect, you are on the site of the affiliate network (for example impact.com) or the vendor. The network or the vendor can set its own cookies or add a click ID to the web address. The network or the vendor does this, not us, and their privacy policies apply. Our totals do not change what they do.

Our pages do not load code, pixels or cookies from affiliate networks or vendors. An affiliate link passes our partner code to the network only when you click it. The code is the same for every reader and does not identify you. After the click, the network or the vendor can use cookies, pixels or a click ID on its own site to record that you came from us and to credit a sale to us. They decide what they collect, and they must ask for your consent where the law requires it. You choose whether to click. Each affiliate link is marked, and each page also links to the vendor's own page without our partner code. If you do not want the vendor to know that you came from us, use that plain link, or block or delete cookies in your browser. We do not ask the network for data that identifies you, and we do not combine network reports with any data about you.

You do not need to accept anything for our totals. Links work the same way for every visitor.

Interest-based advertising

Affiliate networks and vendors can use tracking technology after you follow an affiliate link. You can opt out of interest-based advertising at the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page or the Your Online Choices page.

We do not sell personal data

We do not sell personal data. We do not collect personal data on this site, so we have none to sell or share.

If you send us an email, we use your email address and your message only to answer you.

Our API and MCP server

Our API and MCP server have their own privacy note: https://limitfacts.dev/privacy/

Changes to this notice

If we turn on analytics, a Cloudflare cookie feature, click totals or anything that stores data in your browser, we update this page first. The date at the top of the page shows the last change.
